LOL, I only have a 16-85mm lens so yea I was a little too close.
He was pretty much not paying any attention to me and going after a small bird. They move a lot faster than they look.

The Road Runner is a great bird and I remember when visiting Arizona how fast there can run! Thanks for the photos. Is the last one a Gila Monster?

Yes, thats a Gila Monster. I was hiking on a trail on the east side of the park and he was hunting a small bird. IIRC and for whatever reason most of the Gilas, if not all of them, are found on that side of the Park.
