Not me, I was about 10' away on the closeup and about 20' away on the other shot.

I hate snakes but like your pictures. I would have taken the photos from about 1/2 mile away using a great lens on a drone. I appreciate you putting, "Snake", in the title.

Thanks for the kind comment. Believe me I have great respect for these guys and try not to get too close, that's why I was using all 600mm of the Tamron for the closeup.

Yes he does, but he never rattled or struck even when I tried to get him to move away from the road with a stick. He finally took off for the woods when I walked away. Rattlesnakes are notorious for holding their ground until they see their chance to escape.

Yes it was with the Tamron 150-600mm at 600mm. It won't focus much closer than 10'.
