I've been taking photos forever but only just decided to join a forum & enjoy the company of other photographers today. My main subjects seem to be mostly cats & birds because that is what I have around me the most, but there is the occasional flower sprinkled throughout.
I'm looking forward to getting to know other photographers & seeing their captures.

Welcome to UHH Ginger. Have fun! Alot of knowledgable people on here.
Welcome to the site. Hope you enjoy the banter. I see you are off to a good start. You are reading the owner's manual.

Welcome to UHH! What a fun selfie!
Yes, thank you! Manuals are intimidating to a watch-n-do type person like myself, but since I'm already well versed in Nikon, I'm really just checking out the new features on this one. I'm loving it too!
Selkii, thanks. It actually isn't a selfie. My husband came into the room, handed me the manual, then took the camera out from behind his back & took the photo.
So far here everyone has been so warm & welcoming I think I'm going to like it a lot! :-)
You are obviously not a man! We don't need no stinking manual... Enjoy your time here, welcome aboard.
Thanks much Rocco! Really looking forward to getting to know everyone & seeing some of your work! I guess at this point...first day 'n' all, I could add a photo or two with each comment so you see my loves...?
My Halloween shot of my cat Spencer, & Trey, 'cat flossing'.

Greetings Ginger, and welcome to the UHH!
Welcome to the Forum Ginger.
Aloha Ginger and welcome to UHH. I too own the D7100 and find it a fabulous camera and somewhat overwhelming. Love the intentional cats eyes on Halloween. Hoping to see more in the future. Enjoy UHH and most of all have fun.
Thanks for the welcome Joe. I used to live up your way in Elmira NY. Beautiful country there...good for hiking with camera! ;)
