Taken last weekend on the beaches of Wells and Ogunquit, Maine. Each has a gentle slope that allows the draining tidewater to meander and create beautiful (to me, anyway) forms and flow patterns in the sand. Early and late sun angles seem best (as if THAT never happens!).

I like these especially the second one. As for grainy? We'll it is sand
Appreciate your thoughts! And yes, those ARE the grains I was referring to!
I like these. They are very fluid looking and interesting. Thanks.

Nice shots, I especially like the third capture with the sun glistening of the water/sand. It just draws me in.
Enjoyable! Reminds me of walks on the Marginal Way!
Many thanks, all! And yes, DaveO, the first was taken by the river just below the Marginal Way.
Very interesting and different!
Love #3

Yes #3 wins it...very nice. What grain?...super sharp...maybe try a lower view point.
Wow--thanks, everyone, for the comments and reactions. My local friends and family liked #3 as well, which is why it's here.
@Bret--this was one of the lower viewpoints, and seemed to work better than top down in this case. I was worried about losing the pattern altogether and creating DOF issues if I went lower. But you never know. If I'm ever back there, I'll remember your thought. And, well, maybe the "grain" joke wasn't well put!
Very beautiful images! Liked them a lot :)
Appreciate that very much, Linda!
