Canon 70-300 f4.5-5.6 with Kenko Pro 300 2X converter for 600mm. Tripod, remote shutter with mirror lock up and delay. Cropped and run through LR5 to adjust exposure, contrast and turn medium blue sky to as dark as I could get it. According to the calendar this was less than 10 min before Sundown.
Can't wait until I can afford longer/better glass. (Thinking of the 100-600 Tamron.)
Lovely photo! On download, fabulous!
Great shot sir! I too have become infatuated with moon pictures. I purchased a 500mm telephoto lens and two 2x teleconvertors for about $150.00 all brand new pieces of equipment. I had to learn how to set everything manually but the results are becoming exactly what i was looking for! Good luck and enjoy!
No problem. Btw I found the lens on ebay and the teleconvertor on amazon.
Great shot. Difficult to get detail with everything in motion. John
