Not all work for this gal.
Nice...I sure miss riding my horses...hardest thing I ever had to do was to sell them.

Very cute, but I believe it's against their religion
to have their photo taken.

Who's happier ... the girl or the horse? Love seeing all four hoofs airborne in #2 ...

She rode the horse right in front of me. And smiled right in the camera. Lots of Amish youth have smart phones and other cameras as well.

She is one happy girl. She was flying on the return trip. I almost missed it.

Good to hear. Things change. Love that top one.
I used to live in your area, but that was 25 years ago.

Are you sure she was Amish and not Mennonite? Nice shots, very nice.
Love them! A nice pair of 'happy pics' for a Sunday morning. I'm not sure the horse would approve of having to run on black top, though.
They can't stop YOU from taking their picture. They just can't take one themselves.
How many pictures have you see of them driving their buggies.

Nice shots, but dangerous for the rider. Blacktop is hard on the hooves, and provides no traction if she had to stop or change direction, or if the horse decided to. They would both go down. Glad she was safe though.

I would have guessed Mennonite too. If Amish, definitely not old order. Pants/tights/whatever you want to call them are a big NO for the gals here (very strict old order). But regardless, still nice shots. If it's an Amish horse, probably has drill tec on, which makes running on the road safer. Still hard on the legs, but safer.

It is against their religion, but the photographer did it from a distance and she didn't even notice. Great shots.
She might give Lady Godiva a run for the money!
