My take on fireworks.
There was a discussion in Main Photography Discussion about how to shoot them so I decided to give it a shot.

Very nice shots. Why did you use EV-.3? I think it did not work

Thank you, this was my first fireworks shoot.
@ MMC I shoot everything -3 EV which tends to slightly underexpose.
Things look better on my uncalibrated monitor that way, LOL.
BTW, I keep forgetting to check the store original box, I you want a re upload, let me know.

When you are shooting in manual mode EV is not working.

Nice photos. I like the second to last one. How much time were you using. I see bulb, but you had to release the shutter at some time. :) I used bulb this time and was shooting from 1 sec to 33 sec.

Thanks all for your comments.
@MMC, I always wondered about that, I thought it just magically gave me a slightly underexposed even though I had the correct exposure set, Thanks.
@turtlepond, I just let the sky go dark from the last round and opened up the shutter, as soon as it went dark I closed the shutter. I never did count seconds as I was busy watching.
I just staged the scene, did a quick preview to see if exposure looked good and never again looked through the camera.
I was very surprised by the results, all I did was click the bulb (remote) when I felt I had enough action for the shot.
Oh yea, BTW, I rigged up a reflector for the remotes IR beam so I could sit behind the camera and click away, small alligator clip on the strap bracket, electrical wire to hold the reflector at a 45 degree angle to the sensor.
This had a major advantage, shutter opens and the AF assist light comes on (my AF was turned off on the lens) and lights up the reflector like a mini beacon, the when shutter closes the green loading led lights up.
This was too much fun and have not seen a fireworks display in probably 10 years. Now I can't wait till next year.
You did well. These are very pretty!
