This is the most ridiculous "survey" I have ever seen. It's an attempt to quantify patriotism. Is the guy with a large 3 X 5' flag waving from his pickup truck more patriotic than I am? Maybe I could be more patriotic by tattooing an American flag on my forehead. I don't see how doing a Google search for American flags makes one patriotic. I think patriotism is more internal than external. Bumper stickers, protests, and flag clothing do not make someone patriotic. Surveys like this only serve to divide people. "My state's more patriotic than yours!"
That's my rant for the day.

Searches are fine. But if you really want to affect the data, purchases are what matter.
I suggest you buy a few thousand just to get the ball rolling.

Great idea! I'll have to apply for a few new credit cards.
I agree about California, certainly in San Francisco anyway. I hardly ever see the American flag. We have one hell of a bunch of rainbow flags though and consulate flags of the countries they represent too. Last week there were hundreds of flags along Market St. for Pride week and the parade. Over the 4th, there are is not an American flag in sight!
That's my rant for the day too. Happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

Jerry what bothers me is the number of kids who know nothing about the heritage of the country. Next time you are eating out, ask your young waitress/waiter if they ever heard of Patton or Eisenhower. Be prepared to be shocked

Also wasn't there a school system in California that was allowing Mexican Flags flown on Cinco De Mayo but banned the American flag. The really odd part is that this Mexican holiday isn't widely celebrated in Mexico as it is here in the USA.
Also the Calexico Calif incident too.
Hi Jerry, I agree that patriotism is from inside. That is why I wear my USA and flag t shirts frequently, to testify that I am a patriot and proud of it. Most of the time I wear things like my blue jeans, a white t shirt and a red cap. I have never gotten any kind of rebuke from any one and have gotten a few thumbs up. I also have a t shirt that says Christian, American, heterosexual, pro-gun, conservative. any questions?
It's like "Do you ride a Harley or just wear the t shirts" God bless America! At least the one we used to know. Dave
