Hi to everyone,
I found this forum and have enjoyed reading your posts every day.
I purchased a used Nikon D5000 and after joined as a member. I did a search on the camera and have been reading many of the suggestions on where to go and read and learn.
I took the camera to Destin Florida and enjoyed using it and the resulting photos. Went to a Blue Angles show and was able to follow the jets in the air, so very cool that the photos are clear and not fuzzy.
I am going to do a search and read up on taking pictures of fireworks and hope to be as happy with my results from the show on Friday night.

If you like nature photography, check www.cnpa.org
It is the Carolina Nature Photography organization in North and South Carolina. Inexpensive membership and they take photography trips.

Am in Franklin.NC. Lots of waterfalls. old barns..love it here.( not in the winter though)

Welcome to UHH jnjenkins, glad you joined us. I also shoot Nikon, the D7100. She should get many years out of your D5000. Use the "search" section at the top of the page for how to shoot fireworks, lots of info there. Enjoy the forum and have fun.

I'll have to check this out. thanks for the suggestions. Just returned from a trip to the United Kingdom...Hope to post some photos soon...still weeding through my thousands...LOL!!
