Hi everyone! I've been reading and reviewing the questions Hedgehogers' have had and you guys and gals really provide some great thoughts and answers. As a newbie I'm hoping to learn and may provide my thoughts as well.
I'm from California and I am retired and after a long absense from photography I've decided to get back into it for the love of it. I have a Canon 60D with a Canon 18-135 lens, a Tamron, 70-300 F/4-5.6, and a Tamron AF 60mm F/2 DiII Macro 1:1.
I haven't decided to do one kind of photography yet but so far I've been loving to shoot "Landscapes".
It's great to read your comments and sometimes banter.
I look forward to learning and sharing with you guys and gals.

Image number one looks as though it could use a bit of straitening and that is one of the steps one should take in a post processing workflow. I am assuming you have some kind of software to optimize your images with, if not, people here would be willing to advise.

Thank you, and I agree, it does look like it needs to be straight. I use Picasa to upright the left side but not having much success. I just did it and noticed that when I upload this picture it isn't doing what I had just done to make it straight. Perhaps I'm uploading the incorrect picture. I'll look at the pictures now and upload the correct one....I hope.

Thank you so much. I can use any editing advise. I do have a number of products that I am getting use to, which includes, Picasa, and Adobe Elements 9. As I continue to read magazines, view this forum and ask advise, I coming to the opinion that my next purchase will be Adobe Lightroom. Any thoughts from this forum will be greatly appreciated. (Picture was edited and replaced.)
Welcome to the forum Joe :) great photos ... the second one looks like it could be the big island ... looks like lava
Love the second and third shots the best...vibrant colors and good composition.

Yes, Picasa is weird the way it does its' saves when you work on an image. When I use Picasa (which is rarely..) I make sure to do a File/SAVE AS... when I make changes, and make sure I save the file somewhere where I can find it again.

This is one of a few Geysers in Yellowstone Nations Park. Sorry but forgot the name of this particular geyser.
