Here are a few pics I took on my new camera. Went from point and shoot to DSL - Please give me honest feedback.... NOTE: I didn't do edits on any of these.... thanks
Well first off, congrats on the new camera and on finding Nemo. The flowers are clear and crisp but maybe a little more contrast would help, they seem a little washed out. Nice job on the fish since aquarium shots are typically diffucult to pull off.
I think you did a great job. Most people here judge the pictures as finished in photoshop. I try not to do that especially if the poster say's straight out of camera or no edit's.

I really love #2. I also just got my first SLR, the t3i, and I'm enjoying it very much. Congrats.
I have a T2i - about 8 months now. My first DSLR and I love it. Such an improvement on the P&S. In my first 100 shots I got my best portraits ever - up to that point!! Just keep practicing with all the settings and when you upload them study the settings of your best ones (and worst) to learn what you did right (or wrong) as far as exposure, shadows, composition etc. Then work on the focussing; a single manual focusing point etc.
These are a good start!
Very nice right out of the box. I like #2 as well. That is a beautiful shot! Cheers.
Number 2 really pops, I like all of them, and I favor natural pictures :-D

I like them all ! Sometime PP is over rated...I think they look great ! I got a T3i for Christmas too and love it ! Keep up the good shots !!
chris
You did fine without editing. Photoshop is not always necessary.
The best thing I did was go to Barnes and Noble and get a book called Canon EOS Rebel T2i From Snapshots to Great Shots by Jeff Revell.....they have the same book for the canon T3i...and it explains the workings of the camera far better than the manual that came with the camera. I love my canon T2i...and I also have a Nikon D80 that I still take out with me for a day of shooting...love them both!
