For you old car buffs traveling down I-35 in Texas, stop at Dick's Classic Garage, just off the highway about a mile. There are about 75 autos, ranging from a 1901 Curved Dash Olds to a 1959 Caddy. Even a "Lone Star" auto. Who knew? My dad owned both a '31 and '48 Packard, so I enjoyed seeing these.

When I was 17, a customer brought a '51 Packard straight 8 engine into our machine shop for an overhaul. I remember how immense that motor was. After he picked up the finished engine, after we painstakingly restored it to it's former glory(our specialty), he promised to drive the finished car back to show us. Three weeks later, this huge green sedan with a hood that seemed to go on forever came roaring down the street. The majesty of these beauties still turns my head.

Thanks to each of you for your positive comments. I have many more shots that I took at this museum. It was hard to limit my uploads.....
