I had Friday off and was able to make a quick trip to one of my favorite places, the San Juan mountains just south of where I live. This was taken very early. We have not gotten as much snow as usual, but it has been snowing the last few days and hope it keeps coming down. We need to raise some hay this summer.

Very nice photo, makes me shiver!
Perhaps a little too much sky...I keep looking at the dark cloud in the upper left, and, once I'm looking at it, I wonder why? Maybe I would crop down to eliminate that dark cloud.
Other than that, I'd just enjoy it! Thanks for posting!

I have been watching this thread and hoping someone would do an actual critique. I have the opposite problem. I keep looking at the lighter part of the sky. I really like this picture, but the sky draws my eye away from the mountains. I hesitate to mention it because I am not sure how to "fix" it. I tried "cropping" by scrolling up and down and my eye still goes to the right hand corner. I don't know it maybe darkening that area of the sky would help or not.

IMO, When you have an element such as a fence that makes your eye follow it, try to get the whole element into the photo. You have chopped it off. I know you were trying to highlight the mountain, but the fence frames the shot. Other than that... it's a nice effort!

quote=Danilo Very nice photo, makes me shiver! br... (show quote)

I cropped the shot and I also added a layer that equalized the sky a little. I think it may be a little better.

I not sure what it needs . My eye keeps jumping all over the place. Maybe it is too busy.I do like the scene maybe a different composition,
