One of the adults left the nest and flew towards the road and landed in this tree. I have never seen this before, seen anyone else's images or heard of anyone talking about this behavior.
Maybe, this will be a new perch away from the nest.

Rule 1 really helps to know how to photograph wildlife which it shows you do.
Rule 2 be at the right place at right time. this is the one i have the most trouble with but seems you nailed it.
Rule 3 upload for us UHHs to admire.

Well, when an eagle has 'problems with the kids' he just has to go 'gnaw a tree' and get 'it' our of his system!

Great seriers of photos but I am more interested in what kind of equipment you have that lets you take pictures in the future. Your title is "Bald Eagle Llano, Texas 2-21-2012 Sat." That's about a month from now -- or did I lose time somewhere?
