I like it! It makes me feel like I am being sucked into the light. You have composed it so your eye is drawn down the path and the zoom effect hightens that affect. The only thing that bothers me is the line of sunshine across the road, it almost acts as a road block to going further into the image.

Not so much a critique but there seems to me to be something missing, the handlebars of a bike, if possible, at the bottom would give purpose to the picture.

Thank you! I try to pay attention to those kinds of things, but usually realize too late:)

Have you got any suggestions on how to photograph while riding a bike, Graham? :-D Can't wait to hear this!

I like the idea though.

Wouldn't have to be riding the bike, just have the handle bars in the image. The feeling of motion will come with the Zoom Burst.

Errm... you don't need to be moving for zoom burst. Also, and I'm not advocating any underhand tricks, I've heard that there are some unscrupulous people that would Photoshop in some handlebars

You don't have to be good in Photoshop, you just need a bike and access to the scene again and do a reshoot. :)

Now if you made that the inside of the windscreen of a 747, that would really be something......

Monday morning quarterbacks are always more creative. :D

I think your image is:
Interesting
In theme
Composed nicely with a leading line
Exposed well

Makes me feel like I am sprinting down a woodland path.

I agree ... we are all better at looking back at what we did and seeing how it could have been done better that looking at a scene in front of us and thinking of all the things we could do. But that's a good thing, because it is part of the learning process.

I also think you did very well, and I am hoping that you will post the steps you took in capturing this image. All the details. It would be very interesting and helpful to those of us who have never tried something like this.
