1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
My father was always into photography so I have been around it much of my life.
2) Do you have any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
I had a bit of training in high school ( before the digital camera age)
My wife has a cake business so I bought my nikon for portfolio pictures of her work. Also take a lot of shots on day trips and hikes.
3) In your opinion, what makes a good picture stand out from the rest?
To me, the subject matter makes a picture stand out.
4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup? Can you walk us through it?
For my wifes cake pics, i use a 40" light box and a few cfl
My camera is a nikon d5100
5) Do you post process your final images, and if so can you describe your workflow?
I use iphotos editing to make minor adjustments and fixes.
6) Who or what has influenced your photography and what inspired you to take your winning shot?
I think That trying to capture the best parts of special moments is what inspires me to shoot.
7) Would you change anything if you could do it again, and if so what?

8) What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
I really wish I would've paid more attention to the subjects (people mainly) when I first started taking pictures. I have a lot of beautiful landscape pictures that I never really look at. Photos I gravitate to when I looked through albums are the ones with people.
9) What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?
I love my lowepro slingshot pro
10) If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?
My 18-200. Handles just about everything
11) What lighting equipment, if any, do you take on a shoot?
None
12) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
Just a weekend hobby
