I wished I would have gotten to this site about 30 minutes earlier - the barn would have been better with more light.
Or .... maybe I need a new 810! .... fat chance
..do you live in or near Gnawbone?
My screen is that obvious, isn't it!
Yes, I live out in the sticks about 5 miles S.E. of Gnaw Bone - I used to live about .5 miles from there about 10 years ago.
Being from Georgia, how do you know about Gnaw Bone?
Never mind - your screen name .... I didn't catch that. Where are you from?

Gnawbone, good luck with the 810! But we could lighten up your barn in PP ..... just let me know.
Sure - go ahead - I'm always trying to learn!
As for the new 810 - I'd have to find a new home if I bought one when they become available.

Just a boost in light, contrast and structure, with simple black border to set it off.

Nice - you brought out the sky, er .... clouds .... that were forming.
Thanks for working with it - I'll try what you did on my RAW version and try to duplicate your version - maybe I'll learn something!

You're welcome. This is one of the better looking barns I've seen posted in a long time.
NIce barn shot! Gnawbone, huh? It's quite a bit more photogenic down there than it is up here in the flatlands.
You can light it up with some post work in a heartbeat. Very pretty shots in spite of the lighting.

I like the composition in 1.

I've done quite a few old barns recently on the hog, and I must say yours is far superior to mine. I like the composition and the added lighting contrast by the others. Nice work. Have you anymore? Would love to see them, Richard

No, I don't have any others but there is another one about 10 miles from here that is rented out for weddings - it faces west so I need to get there early enough to get the light I want. I have some time off next week and that barn is on my list!

I know what you mean - I spent the first 30 years of my life in Bremen. I like it here but I miss 'home', too.
Thanks for the comment!
