I see the Dahlias are in bloom. Have you found the Osprey nests?

I love the photos with insects on the flowers.

Without insects, plants would have no reason to make flowers. My wife told me years ago that the the whole idea behind flowers is, "Choose ME, choose ME!!" I think she's right on. What they want to choose them are pollinating insects. Plants and pollinating insects evolved together and need each other. Besides, I think that insects as a group are as beautiful as birds...or flowers.

Along the river walk I a great place to meander. I frequently see Osprey hunt and dive.
Enjoy ( PS there is an osprey nest across the street near the ball park, you can see it from the road and shoot it from the sidewalk!)

I totally agree with you wings, and your wife. I just think it adds more life to the flowers. They are my favorite things to photograph.
Thanks for looking and for your comments, greatly appreciate it!!

Bruce, I found the osprey nest very close to the dahlia garden. That was my first bird shoot experience... I think I'm more of a flower person, they don't move as much!
I did walk along the river, and only saw a few geese, one swan that was too far from me. Not many birds that day, but I so love that place, and the cafe is wonderful!!!
Thanks for checking these out!
