Follow-up thought: wouldn't it be nice to know what the percentage of new arrivals is older than say 15? I think this "we're doing it for the children" is an enormous cover for adults and near-adults (I don't think many 15-year-olds who have traveled from Central America are children anymore) to smuggle drugs (or worse) into our country.
