Anyone who saw the Cadillac ranch prior to the vandals were in for a treat. It's still an interesting display.

The 'art work" is located in the beautiful city of Alliance, Neb. Which we got to visit because I-29 was flooded at St. Joseph, Mo. and I decided to drive back roads across Nebraska.
Here's a travel tip, after a 600+ mile day got in to Alliance at about 6:30 pm dead tired. Only one chain motel in the town and about 5 small independent places, now I can sleep on a ladder but not so for the one I call my sweet thing. I visit every motel in town NO Vacancies anywhere, but finally found a RV Park and figured if they have a spot well will sleep in the car. The wonderful lady at the park listened to my sad story and made her spare bedroom over the office available. The kindness of strangers ! Next morning she told me about Car Henge and I loved it.

All you need here is to add a bevy of Vestal Virgins, dancing about in flowing white robes. . .backlit by a fine morning sunrise! :)

These ancient ruins were set up so that when the sun's rays were in line with the pinto and the cadillac, it pointed towards Detroit.
