This is my last try at this picture. I have taken the light part on the right side away and added a background.

Very nice. I don't know why, but my first impression when I saw the image was of Cornwall and mining. Then I looked at who posted it, and your location. Very interesting. Nicely done.

I like the brighter, more contrasty image of the boy much better than the earlier, darker ones. You did a nice job of mitigating the light problem on the right. I am not fond of the background change. I preferred the OOF outdoor background in the others. Great model, and you captured his personality.

You did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of the lighting problem on this. The new background might be a little too bright but I like the idea...I am really impressed with the transition from the first shot to this, you made the bright light across his face disappear with really good transition work...great job my friend!!

Thank you Bob for your comments, I can see how you thought of mining although the lad was with his traction engine with his Mom's Grandfathers hat which is years old.

Thank you minniev for looking again and commenting. I was not too sure if the background was too light. Took a while to sort out the face light problem but was pleased with what I did. Thank you for all you input in this picture. :-D :-D

Thank you very much my friend, minniev also remarked about the background so I think I will change it. I am pleased with the result.

Love this one. I can see that he has a dirty face now .. that's awesome! I do love this composition. This kid just seems like he'd be the type that would look you in the eye, and I feel as though you've captured his personality with this pose. I would love to see other angles in future shoots just for comparison.

I like the background very much. It reminds me of the white washed fence in Tom Sawyer.

Thank you very much Nightski I hope to get more pictures of Lewis. He is quite happy to pose and as you say he looks into the camera. I have changed the background again and this time there is his engine in the background which he is sat on. I will post and then it will be the last one.. :D

I look forward to seeing the engine and more photos of this young man, who may be the most interesting model I've seen displayed here. I think a series of him and the trains would be great. I just wish he and his train traveled the track I've been trying to photograph down here!

Thank you minniev I hope to get more soon and get him better posed with his engine. If you are ever over this side of the pond and down in Cornwall I am sure you would be able to get some pictures of him as he lives near me. I am going to pass the comment on to his parents who will be thrilled. :D

The change in background gives this image the impact it needed. Well done. The pinhole lights in his eye are a problem for me though. S-

Thank you St3v3M for looking and commenting. I had on camera flash which gave the light in the eye.

I don't have detailed comments other than saying that I would be proud to produce a portrait such as this one. Great work Nanaval.
