I entered this image into a contest titled "Parks". There were 41 submissions and 15 were chosen to be in the final competition. My image from Hawaii placed in the top 15. This was my first time entering a competition and even though it did not place in the top 3, I feel that my skills are headed in the right direction. I have to extend a big THANK YOU to the UHH members who have given me advice which has enabled me to pursue this art form. I've learned quite a bit here and continue on doing so. Thanks again! 8-)

Been there and done that. Very nice image with layers.. Rocks in foreground, nice sky in background.

That's wicked cool. You had good light when you were there. It was rainy and foggy the day we were there.

You captured the barren land in paradise very well. That volcano creates its own weather. I'm happy to see the crater clearly.Most do not, which was my experience when I was there.
