Thin White Line . . .

When one over sharpens an image (for whatever reason) there is usually a thin while line around the edge of whatever is in the image. I once read some steps to put the proper color in the thin white line but like a dummy I did not keep the information.

Does anyone know this information or another way to sharpen an image and not get the thin white line . . .

Thanks

Rich

Cut back on your sharpening a bit, and if you are using Photoshop, I believe the smart filter takes away the "halo" otherwise you can use edit fade to mitigate the halo. DXO Optics Pro has a Prime filter that also does this with excellent results.
