Nikon D700 Body For Sale

I have finally received the Nikon D700 body I had mentioned in an earlier post and have decided to sell it. I also have two books for it as well. I am selling it for $1400.00 shipped and insured. If interested please contact me via PM.

I can tell you it has 11,024 clicks on the shutter which is supposed to be about 5% of its life. It is in great condition, having spent most of its life in a camera case or the original box. There is some VERY minor scuffing on the outside of the leatherette material. I think you can probably see it in the pictures but maybe not. It is tiny. I did take about 10 pictures with it and had no problems at all. Of course I didn't expect any either.

I don't like to use PayPal but will accept a Cashiers Check or Money Order.

Dennis

You'll probably have better luck if you put this in the
"Classifieds" section. Good luck.

Thanks for letting me know. Actually I had clicked on the Classified section so thought that was where it had gone. I hate when that happens.

You're welcome Dennis... I'm curious... only ten photos and you're selling it already, what gives?

I had made a trade with my nephew. His father gave him the D700 but my nephew never or seldom used it. He still uses film cameras. I personally have a D7000 and a D800 and decided to just keep those two cameras rather than the D700 and D800. I took a few shots just to try it out and make sure it was working properly and to come up with a shutter count. Other than a tiny bit of scuffing it is pretty much a new camera but I don't need it.

May I ask where you saw the ad. I have checked on the home page of UHH several times now and still don't see it. I did check in the Classified section and it is right there. I may be wrong but it seems to me that all submissions go into the upcoming section first and then work their way to the intended section. But I haven't even found it in the upcoming topics section yet.

From looking at your avatar it looks like someone is wanting a D700. It looks like your lovely daughter is saying to you, Dad, we don't have a Nikon D700 and I would really like to have one, full frame and all. Huh dad???

It's in the right section but I just pre-ordered the Tamron 150-600mm lens for a D7000. Darn it.

Thanks for letting me know. Wouldn't the new lens work just as well on your new D700? What is a little more cash outlay to fulfill the G.A.S. needs?

I located your original post about the D7000 and D700 where you said:

"I presently own a D7000 and a D800. I have made a trade with a relative who did not want the D700 and it is on it's way to my house. I may just keep all three cameras but if any of you had a choice of a D7000 or a D700 body, both in 9-9.5 condition which would you keep?"

Most of the respondents opted for the D700 but that is the one you are getting rid of. Interesting. :)

Yes it is. I simply made a choice.

Dennis, this is only a personal opinion but in my particular case if I had to make a choice I would go for the D700.
I do not need the megapixels of the D8000, which to me is a superior camera technically speaking.
If you do not crop often and if so many megapixels are not that useful in your photography the D700 should satisfy your needs to perfection.
As I said, just my personal opinion.

Thanks for your opinion. I appreciate it. The D700 is still for sale if you are interested.
