I shot this barn near Van Cleve, MO. On the corner of Highway 133 and County Road 220. I didn't like how the color HDR turned out so I took it B & W and thought it was nice. Three shots. Here is the middle picture, the color HDR, and the HDR B & W.

I guess it is a matter of preference. Somehow the sky does not look right to me in HDR B&W. I do like the photo. I think I would play around with different crops and things of that nature to see what you can come up with.

I like the B/W,but reckon crop some off the bottom more of a letter box, makes the image far more dynamic.give it a go see what you reckon

Love both HDR photos, I wonder if you could clone out the two jet trails in the sky. If not, I love them the way they are.😊😊😊

I noticed a wagon path leading up to the barn. I'd have parked my camera in front of that and shot the barn. If you wanted to include the surrounding areas you might have cut out, go wider, or go pano. Very nice subject, and good pix.

Means I would have to have been on the property. I shot this from the road and could not get to a place where I could look up the trail.

Beautiful scene!! The middle one could be enhanced a bit by some slight saturation addition, a little increase in contrast and then some very light tone-mapping...... This would make it really pop and rival the great effect you got in B&W!!
