Anyone know how I can replace the LCD screen of my nex-6 which I cracked by hitting it with my tripod. Still works perfectly but I would like to replace it . Anyone know where I can I buy one and install myself or send camera in for replacement?

You can usually find videos on YouTube about replacing LCDs, but I didn't see any for the NEX 6.
Send a PM to Rick Riggins. he might be able to help.

My wife "cracked the screen" on her new iPad. Turns out it was not the actual LCD screen (if you break the LCD itself you get no picture at all) but the hard plastic cover on the screen. Several places can cut off the old plastic and replace it so it looks like new. I'm not sure but this may be possible with camera screens too.
I've seen replacements for the nex 3 and 5 but not nex 6
I did the same thing to my Canon T3i. I ordered the new screen off ebay and my husband watched a Youtube video and replaced it for me. Minimum charge from Canon was $180 and he did it for the cost of the new screen, $6.99. Check out Youtube and ebay.
Thanks. I know but for some reason there are none for the nex6 can get for nex 7 or 5 or 3

You have to wonder why that is. Why would they skip a model? You might be able to get a "For Parts" NEX-6 on ebay.
Did you end up finding a way to replace the NEX 6 LCD screen? I am trying to replace my screen as well. I got the camera moist and the main screen stopped working. Camera still takes and stores photos, but I can't see anything. So it works well using a manual focus lens, but not very useful with my zeiss 24mm e-mount.
I'm going to contact Sony about repair/replacement, but I'd much rather fix this myself, or just sell my body for parts and move on.
Just hoping someone here has gone down one of these paths and can advise. Thanks!
