This is my second image submission from my Las Vegas trip taken in Eldorado Canyon. It shows a cholla cactus (pronounced choya) in the foreground with the sun just peeking over the mountain peaks.

Kids always draw the sun with beams coming out of it. Now I see why. It's really wonderful that you captured the beams, they are so illusive. I especially like the back lit effect on the cactus. That's a shot all by itself. Well done.

Funny you say that. When I checked in at the store they had photos of people that did not pay heed and they were covered with the spiny balls. Very painful to remove. Like taking out fish hooks.
