Every Sunday. Next to Santa Monica Pier a tribute is raised to those U.S. personnel killed in Iraq/Afghanistan. Very Sad. Very moving. Very heartbreaking. A really strange juxtaposition between honouring the dead and those that don't notice.
Comments to improve photos much appreciated.

Ask yourself, are the whites white, are the blacks black?

That 5 second adjustment makes a big difference and is so easy to do.

Hello Bob,
Would you be so kind as to tell me what the five second fix is.
Am going through the agonies of replacing camera (current Fuji Finepix pro 1. Nikon lenses) Have an X10 (not X100) on order as a happy snap. Hopefully arrives November first.
Are you happy with your 7000?

I used Photoshop to go a simple Levels adjustment. I simply bring the histogram up and slide the highlights up to meet the bell curve white watching the photo change. Voila! It takes about 5 seconds.

I love the D7000. I moved up from the D90, a great camera in its own right. I chose the latest development in Nikon technology for its low light capabilities, 39 focal points, and rough Magnesium frame. It's a workhorse that I will put through it's paces.

Why could I comment on a moment, you got it
as the deal went down and did your best, so
anything I type is lame now

As William said, you caught the moment. Great shots, only suggestion to make that first one better would be to edit the text off the girls butt on the bike LOL!!!! You caught such a great moment and then you see the text on her butt! Great photos.

Nothing to do with the subject.

How did you add your facebook site to your reply? Is that something you have to do every time or is it done in your profile somehow? And yes - I don't really understand the print across the rear end or the chest as then some act offended when all you are doing is reading. Thanks

The text on the rear didn't offend me at all it was just the first thing that attracted my eye to the picture. The facebook thing... in your profile settings it has add signature (the gray line under all your posts where you have your name) I just put my facebook profile link in there, clicked save and it comes up on every post. Hope this helps.

Hello Emmy,
Glad you got it. Not everyone does. And now thanks to my new friends on U.H. it is technically a better shot. Thought you might like to see the latest from my "Great photos I have missed" album.

notnobuddha asked how I added my facebook photography site to my posts. If you were on there you would have had to open an account.

I have quite a few shots I have "missed" and sometimes it's such a shame as it would have been a awesome shot, just the last one you posted.

Wowee, you are a genius with a camara but you could be
tarded for all I know, this one is up to poetic class
and I like you to polish the brass and catch a bass.
