Whitby Abbey is a ruined Benedictine abbey overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire, England.

It was disestablished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under the auspices of Henry VIII.

The Whitby Abbey is estimated to be about 1300 years old and was build around 657AD.

Processed in Adobe Photoshop using curves and masks

What a great shot. I love B/W. The clouds with the suns rays shinning down on the Abbey.

Your Black and White concepts are "right on" They are all crisp with definite Blacks and definite Whites plus middle tones.

Great!
