Hello!!! My name is Anna. I stumbled upon UHH about a month ago and try to read some of the posts every day. I am strickly an amateur photographer, but would love to someday possibly do some "professional" work. I have a Canon 50D and sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed by it. I know I have only scratched the surface of what it can do. I joke that sometimes I feel like I'm sitting at the controls of the Space Shuttle when I'm behind the 50D... I know I have a lot to learn. Look forward to getting to know some of you.

Welcome Anna. Glad to have you among us. There are many who have come here with the same circumstances as you. There are so many willing to help. Just work on one thing at a time and before you know it you will have grasped a good deal of what you want to know. Have a good time here.

Great. You can label each picture as you ad them, then it is easier to discuss each. The swan is most perfect. The girl and tree, and man and girl are fine portraits. Thanks

Your off to a great start with the 50d and the images are really good. I think you have a good eye for this. I use a 50d as well and it took me a while to get the hang of it as well. Just keep reading the manual and trying each of the settings until you master each one. I still don't use all the bells and whistles on this great camera.

Welcome aboard! It seems that I, along with fellow Hogs, like the swan. You have found a great forum. Judging by your posted pix, you will fit right in. I also would title them, but they are pretty good. Be warned though...you will learn here. You have no choice. I've said this before and I believe it's the truth...Learning here isn't a choice, it's some kind of law. 8-)
