These test shots were all taken with the X50 at full 1200mm focal length. Distance from the front of the lens to the subject was about 6 inches (I should have measured it exactly.) I used f/7.1 as the aperture throughout the test. SX50 was on a tripod with cable release attached to the camera. In some cases I moved the subject back and forth using Live View to observe the focus. I also tried Manual Focus but was not as pleased with the process. I have more to post but will put them in an album with a link in the Links section later on. Questions/comments? Anyone else using the Raynox lenses?
Sincerely,
Lee

Does it screw on or clip to the end of the lens? i really enjoy my sx50 I might get one to try.
Thanks, Aand A. It has been an interesting camera to explore. I was unable to edit the title of the first image after one hour so let me add here that those are 1mm markings. I guess I was trying to say there was a distance of just over 5mm that filled the frame from side-to-side. Hope that is clear.

Hi Kevin,
I have been able to attach the Raynox to the front of the SX50 lens with some effort and patience but I find it much easier to first mount the 58mm filter adapter first and attach the Raynox to it. Others have opted for a 67mm filter ring but since I had some 58mm filters, I stayed with that size. The spring-loaded clips fit inside the filter threads and are quite secure.
