Here are a few portraits of my grandchildren.
I shot it outdoors in Florida, under a number of shade trees.
I thought the color was too intense.
I went for the baroque background.
I stood about 2 or 3 feet away from my subjects.
Any helpful suggestions?

Good photos of good looking kids.
What's the camera lens combo. What was the exposure setting. When I have the space, I like to use my 45mm (90 eqiv) or 75mm (150 equiv) lenses. Both of those are f1.8 lenses, and I usually stop them down to f/2-2.8 if I have the space between the background and my subject.

#1 and #3 have a slight green cast on my monitor. Could be my monitor. Nice shots of nice looking kids!
Thy using the built in strobe, or your external strobe, as a fill flash. Your camera will handle exposure and you'll get a nice foreground illumination.
