Well, it is getting thick in here. You guys are right. Canon users are great picture takers. Canon is a great printer. I think there are Cannon Towels. My good friend who uses a Canon and Tamaron lens Takes great pictures. My other friend lives up in the mountains and looks down. But when you think of heaven, ( wait for it) You will find that we Nikon people are shooting there. Nikon cameras never die (sorry McArthur)They keep on shooting on. lol.

when you say see anything from canon users are you referring to photographs ??
other wise just type in which is better nikon or canon?
The scent of that topic title will bring them in from all over the planet its like chum to sharks.
And yes we are going to need a bigger boat :)
But it is all in fun. When it comes down to helping each other, we're one group.

Of course we can, we just choose not to, because it is just so obvious, that we have far superior gear. Any one who insists upon disputing this obvious fact is displaying their basic lack of confidence in their decision to buy markedly inferior gear.
playing the game of one-up-manship over camera gear is no more ridiculous than 20 men chasing each others balls around a grassy field.
It just seems that way.
Don't get me wrong.....I LOVE my Canon! I recently upgraded to 5D Mark lll and am ecstatic with all that I can do with it. Every nature outing is a new learning experience. I just thought it odd that so many UHHers posted about Nikon.
Thanks to you all for the interesting comments. I really enjoy this forum!

Canon user here. Picked Canon years ago and went with this brand. But to the point: You or another would never know from my images which brand of camera I used, unless I informed so.
The craft of photography has more to do with how one uses the photographic gear one has than to do with the gear one owns. The skills of the photographer remain paramount in doing photography.
Well said! I am a Canon user because I happened to buy a Canon T-70 as my first "film Camera." It was a good deal at the time. Then I bought a First Gen Canon Rebel when it came out as the first "under $1000" DSLR (It was $999). I then accumulated a few Canon Lenses and so it made sense for me that my next upgrade would be another Canon. I'm quite sure that Nikon makes great Cameras, but I just happen to be in the Canon camp sort of by chance. I love my 7D, but I'm certain if I had the Nikon equivalent I'd be just as happy.
We are out taken pictures, not bragging and then trying to figure out how to use our equipment.

Just wondering why I hardly ever see anything from Canon users? Too many lenses with Canon to change now. But I still love this site and have learned soooo much- I'm still a newbie.
Book, is this a joke?
Whats the punch-line?!

That does NOT look like a mountaintop in the background of your avatar. LOL
That's because Canon cameras are designed for the less skilled people because they believe it will overcome their own talent shortcomings. Nikon useers don't need the best cameras because their talent exceeds their camera's capability . ;)
and of course I am kidding :)
I think most Canon users are not braggers, Just love the art.

While it may be true that us Canon users are in heaven with our gear, even we need a day at the beach once in a while! (Besides, the wife wanted a vacation! She gets tired of schlepping groceries up that mountain!).
I use(d) both - Nikon at work, Canon for personal use. No trouble with either and no difference in the final output quality and no way to tell the difference by looking at the picture. Canon seems to be a favorite of sports and action photographers among the pros, which you can confirm by looking at the number of "white" lenses at any sporting event compared to black lenses (some of which are, of course Sigma, Tamron, etc. on Canon bodies). Back in the "old days" of 35mm film, Nikon was considered the pro's camera. Canon caught up and went ahead at the dawn of the digital age and it's been leapfrog ever since.
Buy what you like and like what you buy.

In the late '60's, while in 'Nam, I bought my first SLR, a Yashica TL Super. I lusted for a Nikon, but GI pay being what it was, and probably still is.....
Anyway, for forty years or so I knew I wanted a Nikon. Had to have one someday. What did I finally buy when I got tired of my Kodak bridge camera? A Canon. Never even considered Nikon! I had not even heard of UHH or Sharp Shooter at the time, but I'll just bet he slipped something in my coffee!:D
