Lyon is an ancient city in France about 250 miles south of Paris. Paradise for photographers, particularly the old section of the city. I've gotten to a few of the churches so far with some more exploring planned for the weekend.
The Church of St. Georges where the Mass is celebrated in the extraordinary form. The stained glass behind the altar is magnificent. Have rarely seen windows that are predominantly yellow, gold, ochre and every shade in between.
The Basilica Fourvier. This is way up above the Saone River. Our community is about 150 yards from the Saone. Telephoto lens at 200 mm.
Votive candles in the Cathedral St. Jean Baptiste.
Enjoying your excursions and photography. Please send more as your trip allows. Would love to see more of the stained glass.
