This candid was taken during the Egg Rolls & Egg Creams Festival on Eldridge St, Manhattan, NYC. I was drawn to the subject by her orange hat and outfit and the contrast with her white framed glasses. Unfortunately, she did not exhibit much emotion during the time I was photographing her. Hopefully, the colors can carry the picture.
I was wondering what your opinion is on the frame being used as opposed to none? Any additional critique, comments or suggestions on improvement are welcomed. Thanks. 8-)

For the world championship soccer and being a supported for the Dutch team , I would say framed.....:-)
But to be honest.....
No , I like the one without the frame better, there is enough Orange in the images already......:-)
Agree, unframed unless you go with a more subtle contrasting color.
I like most everything framed. I'd lose the black corners I think.

I agree with BigDaddy on this one, good picture, so much color! :)
No frame is my choice. :-)
I'll go with no frame or at least a different color. Great shot.

4 years ago we almost made it .
Thanks ....
I like that shot!!!   I'd also pick unframed, maybe a thin orange outlined with a thin black.
Ilike the framed but I prefer the nonframed Bmac.

Thanks for expressing your opinion and taking a look Preachy. 8-)
By PM, Bmac asked that I render a different frame choice. One should not choose the predominant, major color from within a photograph as a framing choice. For my middle two layers, I actually sampled a very light brown color from the girls hair, lightened it a bit for the inner frame, then chose a "Satin" effect for the darker brown frame around it - these are "complementary" colors, not directly repeated, but ones that will blend in with the background. The next layers, the off-white and off-black were directly sampled from within the photo itself - they are not true white and true black (although they could have been). Again, the goal was to use colors that will complement the main subject.
The second frame is a variation on a variation - black on black with a slight bevel.
