I am posting my first pic taken with my superb new lens, a Nikon 10-24 purchased from PhotGenesis131. I just wanted to say he was wonderful to deal with and I would buy from him again in a heartbeat! Thanks John!
Now for the pic
on my iPad and in ViewNX 2 it looks tack sharp and full of wonderful detail
but when I open it in photoshop it is just so flat
(I am opening the jpg, because I wanted to upload it here, and I didn't think we could upload raw files or tiffs
.)anyhow
here it is straight from the camera(except I cropped out a pesky car at the bottom)
.advice, critique, help, anything anyone can contribute would be most welcome!
Can you upload the photo again and this time, click "store original" to the right side of the upload area?
Post it again & check the "store original" check box... We really can't asses the image without pixel peeping...

If you shot in RAW and didn't do any/much PP that is your problem with having it look "flat" - Dave

yes, I have read that raw files look flat initially, but I posted the jpg version
.
Nice lens. You always have to sharpen a bit when you edit in Photoshop.

Looks pretty nice to me :) How does it look online to you compared to in your editor? I've noticed that images look different on my laptop, depending on which editor they are opened in. You might also process your raw file and do "save as" jpg, and then post that one here, to compare - as you mentioned this one is the jpg straight from camera.
