While driving looking for moose the wife and I stumbled on this Red Fox hunting voles near Kincaid Park in Anchorage. Shots taken with Canon Rebel and Canon 70-300. Mostly cropped in camera. The fox was very tolerant of my presence -- I was within 20-30 feet most of the time. At the end when it made a successful pounce, after 2 or 3 failed attempts, it looked up at me as if to say "See, I got it!".

Shooting this guy is almost cheating. It's a a recreation area that has large numbers of people year round...biking, hiking, jogging in the summer and skiing in the winter so the fox is quite accustomed to people being around.
