I want to tether wirelessly to my iPad for viewing purposes. I will still load the CF Card (later) into my photo file manager directly, but just want to see the image larger that on the camera LCD. I'm not wanting to control the camera with the Camranger. So what is the fastest way to get this to happen? Do I shoot JPEG in addition to Raw (AW is my always mode) and how do I tell the Camranger which mode to transmit? I heard that jpeg is smaller so will be received by the iPad much faster than the RAW.

This depends on the mode you are in, but the CamRanger sends thumbnails to the app. It can read Tiff, RAW and Jpeg. The thumbnails have a litt T=Tiff R=Raw etc. The thumbnail you select is transferred for viewing. It is not saved by default to your iPad, just cached there.
There is a option to view automatically in the preferences, in that case I can't remember which is transferred, will have to fire mine up and take a look.
OK thanks. I have not yet loaded the Camranger app, so I will tty it soon. But any additional guidance would be greatly appreciated.
