When you photograph things in nature, I know that you feel something about that subject. When traveling we often photograph things just to remember them. But a sunrise through the woods, richly coloured flowers, or a pelican flying close to the water all provide something more. We take those pictures when we are inspired by the subject.
When we share these photos with others, we are sharing the excitement about the world. This is always Worth doing no matter what kind of photographer you are. I sometimes hear amateurs making excuses for their photos and not wanting to show them. SHARE THOSE PHOTOS! No one sees the world as you do.

But my photos are made up with the intention of sharing my world, not necessarily nature but how I have lived and I want them to tell a story.
The story here began back in the 1600's when my maternal ancestors settled Orient, Long Island, NY and were seamen and commercial fishermen for générations and I am proud to have served and worked, although commercial fishing has nowling gone. Wooden vessels are solid in my heart and culture and I started out caulking with my dad when I was 10 years old.

2 of these shots I just pulled up and edited out of last years un-done orignals.

Ah, now you want the yarn. Betcha what you saw as last is no longer last. No, harvested by machine.
I'd heard a thing or two last year about harvested fields and food banks. Thus, when I stopped to take photos when the tractors were where I wanted them, one of the farmers stopped to check me out. & I asked him about Food Bank people. He told me the Food Bank people had asked them to manually pick up the left behind carrots and bring them to the Food Bank. Yeah, sure. Farmers have lots of time free, yeah, sure :?

Sure tells a story all right....
We were on the road and while rambling this Challenge was on my mind and I worked on it....seeing my world, in my way and trying to photograph different subjects which made up my world. BUT, our trip was longer than expected and right now I am working on my pics, but will post them later on today or tomorow.
As you know I'd rather ramble than mow the lawn and also I enjoy rambling alone unless the person riding shotgun has a good book to read while I'm out and about.
