Hi Ed. Thank you. I took the pictures the middle of the afternoon. There is a little stream/marsh area behind my home with lots of frogs. Get near it and all hear is them jumping in the water.

I'm pretty sure that's a male Green Frog ("Banjo Frog" in the Southeast U.S.---so-called because they have a call that sounds like plucking a two string banjo). Scientific name is Rana clamitans. The yellow under the throat is probably a territorial signal directed at other nearby males with a simple message: "Stay away! This is my place around the pond." Yes, frogs communicate.
