Rose in Sunlight

Sun is just slightly behind the rose so light came through petals and wooden fence behind it is in shadow. Canon 6D with 70-300 zoom at 300 1/250 F 6.3 ISO200 handheld (rose over my head, not chopping wife's rose bush to take photo - self preservation)

Cropped to a fair-thee-well and run through LR5.

Robert, I'm happy to see you're among the folks who are back lighting flowers that have translucent petals - it adds so much to the drama of a beautiful flower, and in some respect, bathes them in their best light.

In the variant below, I tried to bring out a bit more detail in the vein structure of the petals, and to increase the inner glow that the back light provided.
