I took this moon photo by just using my camera + 200mm lens + 2.0x Kenko Pro 300 + 1.4x Kenko Pro 300 TC + PP and cropped close...
That's real good for teleconverters!

Oops! I made mistake... I just received my Tamron 150-600mm and I used it instead of my 200mm... I also didn't get it setup very well... I have one of those pistol grip squeeze-handle grips on my camera tripod and my camera assembly was too heavy to hold the camera at the steep angle required to photograph the moon. I had to try to focus and take the photo while holding the camera to keep it from slinging down so I guess you can say that the photo was taken half hand-held and half tripod mounted. An awkward first attempt with the assembly and new lens. It felt like an all thumbs awkward shoot...
I guess I was just too sleepy when I posted the photo...
That Tamron is making quite a name for itself. Great shot.
Thanks Photo Girl... I appreciate your comments... it took 2 months to get the lens... I have been practicing with it and getting to know it... I have 45 days to try it out and return it if I am not satisfied with it... before making any comments about it, I wanted to put it through a lot of tests before I make a report on it. The lens is only as good as your camera... some cameras have a higher rating with this lens then others do...
I'll be posting this in the "Photo Gallery" section soon. I made my first astronomy test on the moon... I have taken several bird photos with it but under bad lighting situations but they still came out pretty good considering the lighting.
