The New Ansel Adams Scenic Highway does not exist. The following 2 photos were taken on the same day. Thanks to Photoshop, I put it there!
The William Sell, Jr. Memorial Bridge won the National Bridge Building Contest. You'll find it in Mariposa County on Hwy 49 South, between Mariposa and Oakhurst, CA.
The Federal Highway Administration, in 1972, had a Nationwide contest as who could construct the most beautiful and outstanding example of a bridge in the United States. "This is the way a bridge should look" was engraved on the William Sell, Jr. commemorative plaque.

Thanks rlaugh! This was a lot of fun putting together.
You did a fantastic job, for any person not familiar with the scene it looks real.

Thanks so much! I was hoping people who are familiar with the Park would think they missed something.
I've sent this to friends and told them to ask for directions at the gate due to a lack of signs giving directions. Several said they asked and the Rangers thought they were nuts. We all got a kick out of it; especially me.
I noticed that last shot in another post a day or so back. We go used to go to Yosemite frequently and I knew the picture in front of Bridalveil Falls was not real. LOL! Very nice job.

Good for you. I've had some friends say they were on the highway and loved it. Of course we know they were not.
Thanks for the response!

The hard part was getting rid of the big tree, just right of center.
Thanks for kudos!

Looks real to me and simply beautiful. Nice work.
Your PS work is excellent, but the thought of a highway marring that view is horrendous.
