The month of June is reportedly the month that produces the most vibrant floral colors! So I thought it would be a shame not to capitalize on nature's Bounty! The different perspective part of this Challenge is your individual artful interpretation . The following examples are my attempts to get you going... ;-)
I will be posting more examples as we go and look forward to seeing what you come up with-anything goes!

Here's my offering.

California Poppy

I'm looking at the "stems" & they look like metal, so are the "blossums" artificial? Looks like a clip to hold their heads up???

Scarlet Monkey Flower (Mimulus cardinalis) on the Van Duzen River. Kind of grabs the eye growing out of cliff faces. I had to work hard to get this one standing in the water with my camera over my head to get the pair of them aligned.

If I got that low to shoot a poppy I would have to have something else to do while down there! Because I would be there a while! Nicely done!

These were taken last spring at a Sunday morning shoot. I have gone back there several times this year and so far there have only been a few blooms on the tree. I think the winter was not kind to it. Hopefully next year it will produce a better yield. Sure hope so!
