VueScan Scanner software

Today I was trying to find drivers for an old CanoScan N670U scanner for my MacBook. My search for the drivers came up empty. I did find a solution to my problem though. I came across Hammrick Software's VueScan Scanner Software. They have versions for MAC OSX, Linux, and Windows.

There are two things I like about the software; 1- it supports over 2500 scanners from 35 manufacturers (many of the scanners not longer are supported in the current Windows and MAC OS's) and 2- the ability to save the image files in the Adobe DNG Format. The Pro Version costs $80.00 (the cost of a cheap scanner) and has free lifetime upgrades and you can use it on up to 4 computers with any combination of OS's.

I am now able to use the CanonScan scanner, an old MicroTek and and old HP that I have to put aside since they no longer worked on a computer unless it was running WindowsXP or earlier.

A nice find for the afternoon.

Hi Harold, I know this is an old post, but I just saw it today. I too have an old Epson (model 2450) which hasn't been supported for many years, and have been using VueScan for 3-4 years now. I like it much better than the software that came with the scanner.
