Love the repetition and lines of the pier and the delicate decay of the scroll. Nothing wrong with the tulip tree, it just didn't grab me like the others. This medium is so subjective and personal to the individual viewer that what I think is great others may think is crap, and vice versa...

Yeppers you found the shutter button the click box. As far as posting you did good there to. And now to add to confusion, you can click that (store original) box to the right of the Attach box. before you click that Attach box. And you will down load the full file. So if you want use to see the whole thing. We can. Some Nice Pics by the way.

The photo of the tulip just needs a little cropping to bring more attention to the tulip as the main subject.

Getting rid of the bright area eliminates a distraction, and reducing the dark negative space helps to balance the image.

The exposure and the colors look good.

Let me suggest you study composition and framing. Application of these two techniques can dramatically improve a given photograph.

I am a newbie as well, but nice shots. You have good eye for composition and subject material. What camera, lens and other pertinent data? Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the compliment....
I have a Canon EOS30D, I guess it's a bit out dated now, but it works for me. The lens I used for these pictures was a 28-135,
also have a 70-300 and a compact 50mm macro.
Good luck to you also on this site, it is fun and seeing these wonderful pictures really is inspiring!!!

This is a great trio! And your avatar is really adorable, too. I'd love to see more photos of that pup.

The crop suggestion of the tulip photo was a good one. Nice improvement, anotherview. The bottom two are most interesting and I see you are attracted to intricate patterns/lines. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Keep it up!
