The glass and body are in excellent condition. Includes the original box, the padded case with strap, an extra strap still in the plastic that I'm not sure what it is used for, front and rear caps, and lens hood. In addition, it comes with the UV filter as shown in the picture. I have no idea how good a Merkury Optics 88mm UV filter is but I left it on the entire time I owned the lens. Basically, it comes with everything that came with the lens as new.
I bought this lens last summer from the original owner. I've rarely used it. I'm selling it because I find I'm not using it, mostly due to its weight and size. It is heavy. I think I underestimated the weight factor when I bought it. A good heavy duty tripod would help but my current Costco special isn't quite up to that task and I'm not wanting spend money on an upgrade there.
As you can see in the picture, the rubber focus ring is discolored in the grooves. Not sure why that happened but it was like that when I bought the lens. I've noticed, while pricing these on Ebay, some of them also have the same discoloration. It in no way affects the performance of the lens. The focus ring turns nice and smooth.
I just did a good look over the entire lens. You would be hard pressed to find even one mark at all on the outside of the barrel. Even the bottom of the tripod collar looks brand new as if it had never been used. for being an older model, in my opinion, it is in great condition.
