Mt. Everest

Does anybody have a pic of the top of Everest? I don't mean the view from the top or a pic of climbers celebrating at the top. I would like to see the actual summit. Is it sharp, is it level, is it round, how big is it, how many people can stand there at the same time? You get the picture (pun intended. sorry about that)

Looks to me to be rather sharp and pointy! I don't have a picture, but you can get a good idea from Google Earth. I think Google Earth is a free download and is an amazing program.

Dj,
The summit can support maybe 8 people but it is kind of pointed. I have seen it in person, since I used to climb, have done K2, and seen Everest. Was never in the right time frame to make any attempt at that mountain.

Jerry,
Yes it is, my fat old ass would barely make it to base camp. At 67, I would never consider climbing Everest, she is one of the least forgiving.

When you say you've 'done' K2, do you mean you've summitted, or just been there? Which expedition? Very curious to know.

Hey George,

You've done K2! I bow to your wow!
Did you take pictures during the climb or on the summit?

Have you read "Mount Analogue" by Renee Daumal?

DJ,
Never made the summit, never had the full time to do so, was in the military and we did some climbing on K2. Probably one of the most awe inspiring places in the world.

Migyur,
Little bit of training and R&R.
