So happy to be part of this very cool site!
Gonna need to learn how to navigate a bit better through the amazing way we communicate here in the 21st century. Don't do any social media, so postings and such are new to me.
Anyway...glad to be part of a great global community of pho-togs!
Joyful shooting!

Hi DF, welcome to the hog. And also, welcome to the 21st century. LOL. Not to worry. You will get so used to posting and talking to people here, that it will become second nature to you. Just keep in mind, to have fun. Make some friends here and post some of your pictures.
Rich
Thanks Rich for the warm welcome!
And for poking fun at my technology challenges. :)
Looking forward to getting to know some folks and sharing the love of capturing images. It's been a passion of mine for the better part of 4 decades. I can still remember the smell of the darkroom chemicals...
Yikes...I am old!
Anyway, thanks again for the lovely welcome!

Thanks Tiger,
Brand new to this beautiful state.
Blessed to living on the beach in Grand Haven.
Talk about inspiring!

[quote=DFNEWTON]Welcome to the HOG, Newton. I once took a ship ride from Milwaukee to Muskegan (near you). And family went to Holland, MI near by. David
Hi Meives,
It's a pretty cool ride across Lake Michigan on the Hydrofoil. I'm guessing that's what you took, because that's what runs from Milwalkee to Muskegon. I've only been here in Grand Haven for 2 months and it's utterly amazing. This place is incredibly beautiful place with the beach steps away from my house in one direction, and what I call The Enchanted Forest, in the other.
Needless to say blessings and inspiration abound!
Nice to "virtually" meet you. :)

Actually I took what was called the "Clipper Ship" many years ago. In the 50's. This was a large ocean type cruise ship. Over and back took all day. Good luck. David
