You're wrong. He does enjoy his fame, have you seen him on FB? Thought not. Who knows if he adores his country, I'm sure he would keep it from his fans because that would break their hearts. You are making an false assumption upon whether I adore my country. You know what they say about people who make assumptions. :)

No, tell me what they say. What I do know is that people like you who say bad things about people who were ready to die or lose their limbs for this country have no respect for them or this country. It's a shame he lost so much for this country so ungrateful people like you can say bad things about him.

Not too long ago I saw you post a "can't we all get along" line. Again, you refer to this guy as a "crazy wing nut" and "wacko". what happened to the "lets stop the name calling" line you wrote? Hypocrite.

You don't know what you are talking about either with regard to the VA. The news is wrong also. This is not the Presidents fault. When Clinton was in charge, the people at the VA were buying their own supplies due to his budget cuts. Despite Obama's obvious faults he has done a lot to improve health delivery for the veterans. I totally disagree with all most all of the Presidents policies and his constant disrespect for the law but he has been a friend to the VA.

Lacking anything else to bitch about the press has taken the actions of a few and is using it to smear the entire VA system while trying to pin it on the President. After catching a bullet in the throat in Viet Nam I have been tied to the VA system since 1965. People work at the VA. Most of them are good, decent people trying to help our vets. A great many of them are volunteers trying to help. Most of the doctors are volunteers giving back to the communities they live in. However, some are bad administrators, some are bad organizers, and some are just in it for the money they make at the top of the chain. For the most part the VA provides good, decent care. It is unfair to label the entire system as bad because of the actions of a few. It is despicable to label an amputee a "crazy wing nut" because you disagree with his view point.

Don't attack people over their point of view on something you have no understanding of.

Did you see his FB page? He's sickening. Because he chose to be in the military, went over there knowing what could happen, and got blown up, he is some almighty god to some. I think his opinions are looney. No one put a gun up to his head to go over there, that was a choice. He adores the fame he's getting now.

When you join the military you are told what the job is. You are also told the government will take care of you if the worst happens. He knew what he was facing and he kept his part of the contract. Now he is upset because the government did not keep their end of the deal and people like you call him names and look down on him. You are a twit, plain and simple.

Wow! If I didn't know I was on UHH, I'd have thought I was in the middle of the Senate floor listening to a repartee between the Democrats and Republicans! I'm the person who keeps posting to turn them all out at the upcoming elections and replace them with new blood! I'm not advocating replacing Democrats with Republicans or visa versa, just get them all out. Since it is an off-year election, it will send a message to the representatives in congress that we are tired of their inability to get along and maybe we won't have to take the same action in the next election. And how does all that pertain to this OP? Well, don't any of you name-calling, irrationally opinionated posters run for office -- I won't be voting for you!

This man is a crazy wing nut and feels because he has been maimed, his words should be given more credence than others. It's obvious he doesn't know what's going on in the news. He's probably being paid to write this, so that people like the OP would believe this and it would substantiate their feelings. He probably loves war, this president doesn't. Of course, I will get bashed for calling him out like I have. He's a wacko, if you want to respect him or his words, go ahead. I see nothing in him respectable. Isn't it nice we can all have opinions. His just get published.

Wow! Donna, wingnut seems to becoming one of your favorite terms... Maybe you can imagine this man's frustration, personally I don't know that I could have met the challenges that he has faced and I can't imagine how bitter I would feel after going through what he has been through to then have to fight against my government to get what is rightfully due to me because of my sacrifice while watching the same government freely give such generous benefits to people simply in an effort to get them to vote democrat.

Now we can set aside that the president's mother was a devote socialist who left this country to pursue her socialists dreams. We can set aside the fact that the president's grandparents chose Frank Davis to be his mentor, a socialist who made it his life's mission to "wipeout white supremacy". No matter that he was a dedicated fan of Derrick Bell while at Harvard, giving a speech on the professor's behalf, Bell who was an unremarkable professor until he came up with his "Critical Race Theory". We can set aside the fact that the president was close friends with Bill Ayers, a freakin terrorist who is unrepentant about his time plotting and planning violent revolution which indeed come to fruition in the bombing of police stations resulting in death. We can also set aside that he spent 20 years in Rev. Wright's church listening to the good reverend damn America for both domestic and foreign policies. Yes we can set all those things aside as they are really unimportant, especially to folks like you. But what we can't set aside is the president's incompetence, it is blatant and it is often on full display for all to see.

I think that it was very telling when Valerie Jarrett made the statement that " He’s been bored to death his whole life. He’s just too talented to do what ordinary people do.” What that means is that he is simply undisciplined and basically lazy, bored people are those who are not interested in doing the work, they view it as either beneath them, or just a waste of their time, or far to often just not fun when they could be screwing around doing something else...

At anyrate the airman is right about the president, if he put as much effort into managing the bureaucracy beneath him as he does fundraising, I suspect that his tenure would have been different.

Donna, before you call me a wingnut I would just remind you that even the left can no longer avoid talking about the president's incompetence as in the last few weeks we have seen more and more liberals coming out to question the president's effectiveness. Maybe Donna, given your fervent defense of this president, you should consider yourself before calling others wingnuts.
